Squier Guitars and Basses

The Squier series by Fender was originally called Fender Japan and launched as budget guitars in response to lower-priced Japanese guitars flooding the market in the 1980s. The first JV and SQ series led to the Vintage Modified and Classic Vibe series produced in Mexico, China, Taiwan, and elsewhere.
