The rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 24 medium frets, which not only provides enough space for deep riffs or bass lines in high registers - the 37.4" fingerboard radius also offers an optimal feel for quick finger changes or elaborate licks. The combination of the Ibanez MR5S bridge and the Ibanez Machine Head tuners ensures a robust string action and reliable tuning stability, making the Bass Workshop BTB946-COL a reliable all-rounder.Nordstrand Big Single Pickups, active Preamp and 3-way mid-frequency switchThe two Nordstrand Big Single pickups enable a wide sound palette that provides plenty of scope for various sound spectrums between defined highs and rich basses. The active preamp with 3-band EQ, which provides additional control for your personal sound preferences via three controls for bass, mid-range and treble, ensures precise fine-tuning of the frequency range. The 3-way mid-frequency switch gives you the option of selecting three mid-frequency spectrums between 250Hz, 450Hz and 700Hz, allowing you to tailor the mid-range in particular. With an additional EQ bypass switch, the Preamp can be switched off if required, allowing the treble control to be used as a passive tone control.
