About this listing
Here for sale we have a Fender American Standard Stratocaster electric guitar in Sonic Blue finish. Made in the USA in 1997 this guitar features an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Fender sealed tuning machines and 2-point trem with individual string saddles. A pair of Fender Standard single-coils are fitted and wired to a 5-way pickup selector, master volume, neck tone and bridge/middle tone/The Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear feels smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 9.5" radius working in conjunction with the frets to produce a rock solid playing surface which is practical for string bending, vibrato techniques and complex chord voicings alike. The Fender American Standard Stratocaster Single-Coils pickups deliver all the classic Stratocaster tones that you could wish for. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, Power chords and riffs sound gritty, whilst lead tones are crisp and clear. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup is round and powerful, great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully.
