This is a rare opportunity to own an original Telefunken ELA M 250E microphone fully serviced and ready to be used for many more decades. Incredible sounding microphone, which is considered by many the best microphone ever made.

These were made in Austria in the 50s and 60s. This is NOT the Telefunken USA recreation!
This vintage microphone has all the original parts, such as the AKG CK12 brass capsule, Haufe T-14/1 transformer, original Telefunken ELA M 950 power supply.

This specific one was serviced recently by the reputable The Mic Shop in Nashville. It was restored to its original circuit, received a new capsule assembly (the original was damaged), a new-old-stock GE 6072A Triple Mica tube, which was evaluated for low noise prior installation, and received new capacitors in the original power supply.

The original CK12 brass capsule was also reskinned by Thiersch / Rico Vetterlein in Germany. These folks are the best capsule restorers in the world.

The Telefunken ELA M 250E is the sibling of the ELA M 251E. Both are exactly the same microphone, except for the capsule/switch assembly. While the 251 has a polar pattern selector with Cardioid, Omni, and Figure of 8, the 250 has Cardioid and Omni only. In fact, even the assembly was the same, but the Figure of 8 position was disconnected intentionally so the 250 model had the same polar patterns of its competitor in the 1960s, the Neumann U47.

This microphone received a new switch assembly from Telefunken USA, which has all 3 polar patterns. Technically this is a Telefunken ELA M 251E since it has Cardioid, Omni, and Figure of 8 polar patterns!

This set comes with the original Telefunken ELA M 950 power supply, original swivel mount, Telefunken USA box and case. Im also sending along the original power supply output connector, which is a rare and hard to find Cannon UA-3-11. A regular Cannon XLR is currently in place. An additional USA made National 5751 tube is also included. Some folks used this tube model for higher output. The original switch assembly can also be included upon request. This assembly was repaired before but could potentially be used again if properly restored.
