The Chandler Limited RS124 packs three legendary Abbey Road RS124 compressors into one chassis. Over the decades since the Abbey Road RS124 graced Beatles' recordings, there were attempts to re-create the hardware from sketchy information; none of these efforts fully realized the elusive musical soul of the original EMI unit. Schematics relayed only so much of the design. So Chandler turned to historic units provided by Abbey Road, as well as handwritten modification memos that would prove essential in understanding the essence of the beast. They succeeded! The Chandler Limited RS124 nails the behavior and sonics of the original - which Peter Cobbin, Abbey Road's Director of Engineering, describes as "pure cream being drizzled slowly into and over a mix."

The Unit

I'm listing the unit as excellent as it's in perfect working order and I could not find any marks on the front or back panels. However, it's definitely not mint as the top panel has a typical patina as reflected in a unit which is now 10 years old. Also there are some scratches on the top from another unit being racked/unracked above it at some point. Its includes the original box and piece of paper that came with it. Note, surprisingly for a unit of this value it never came with any instructions or other paper work apart from a note to say everything is available online.

I will ship in 1 business day via Australia Post standard parcel. Some key points on shipping:

• The shipping charges are based on standard Australia Post shipping
• I plan to ship it in the stout chandler box shown as it was shipped to me in 2016
• I did look locally for options for an outer box and couldn't find any and as such the plan is to ship in the single box
• Alternatively, if this is a concern, let me know and Im happy to ship via pack and send at the full listed price and include double boxing
• Pack and send does not ship to residential addresses so this is a consideration
• At lower offers and remote locations I'm of course open to discussing other options
