The SD-2 was the first Boss pedal to feature a remote input for channel switching . It has separate Level, Tone and Drive controls for each channel, adjusted via dual-concentric knobs . A mode selector switch lets you choose between Crunch, Lead, or toggle between both . The Crunch channel is ideal for rhythm work , while the Lead channel delivers a thick, liquid distortion with singing sustain that many consider Boss's best . Runs on standard 9V DC power
