Up for sale, a 1966 Silvertone 1481 vintage Class A tube amp in excellent condition. Freshly serviced, this amp features a simple single channel design with a 6V6 power tube and 8” Jensen speaker. Roughly equivalent to a Fender Champ, the 1481 offers sweet, sparkling cleans and overdriven grit.
The point-to-point circuit retains the original transformer pair, the CTS pots have visible date codes from the 17th week of ‘66, and the original two-prong power cable is present. The 8” alnico magnet Jensen speaker is a later substitution, more powerful than the original speaker and dating to 1961.
The cabinet retains its gray textured exterior, gold sparkle grillcoth and small Silvertone badge.
