Up for sale, a 1976 Fender Twin Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This Twin is freshly retubed with a matched quad of Tung Sol 5881s and lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. Loaded with the original pair of Fender-branded and Rola-manufactured heavy duty ceramic magnet 12" speakers, these drivers deliver a smooth, punchy, and surprisingly articulate sound. Perfect not only for guitar, the Twin is an excellent choice for any scenario where headroom is a must, performing equally well with a pedal steel or Rhodes piano.

The circuit has been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, retaining all of the original Schumacher-made transformers, dating to 1976. The original CTS pots are present, with visible date codes from 1976, and both the bias and power supply have been professionally recapped. The tube set comprises a quartet of properly biased Tung Sol 5881 power tubes, with a combination of vintage and modern valves in the preamp.

Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is intact, and the pair of Fender-branded and Rola-made ceramic magnet 12" speakers are the original matched pair with black frames and blue Fender foil stickers. The date stamps on the magnets are from the 49th week of '76.

The amp retains its original black tolex and silver sparkle orange stripe grillcloth, and there are three cleanly doweled holes on the top of the cabinet and light wear on the enclosure edges. The aluminum faceplate retains its turquoise text and full complement of witch hat knobs. All of the hardware is present, including the handle caps, chassis straps, corners, and sphinx glides (feet).
