Terry Bozzio redefined the drum set, transforming it into a fully melodic, orchestral instrument. He achieved legendary status in the 1970s by conquering Frank Zappa's notoriously unplayable The Black Page. His fierce technicality blended with deep groove and intense musicality pushed Missing Persons into the New Wave mainstream and famously anchored Jeff Beck's powerhouse trio. His pioneering use of melodic ostinatos and tuned percussion expanded the boundaries of drum design, tuning, and acoustic engineering. His Melodic Drumming & the Ostinato and Solo Drums instructional videos inspired generations of drummers, demonstrating that the musical possibilities of a drum set are endless.

This 5x14" DW Collector's Edge Snare Drum features DW's legendary hybrid Edge shell construction, combining a North American maple shell with precision-formed steel reinforcement rings to deliver exceptional articulation, projection, and sensitivity.

Finished in Transparent Black Satin Oil, the shell is factory timbre matched and marked "F", reflecting Terry's meticulous tuning philosophy. The original Attack batter head is hand signed by Terry Bozzio.

The drum is fitted with black Collector's Series hardware, DW True Hoops, and the original DW throw-off. Minor cosmetic wear is consistent with professional touring use while the shell, bearing edges, and hardware remain in excellent working condition.

This drum is a stage-played and signed artifact from one of the most influential drummers of our time.
