The 2004 American Deluxe 50th Anniversary Stratocaster was Fender's flagship model celebrating fifty years of the Stratocaster. Built in Corona, California, it combined the classic styling that made the Strat famous with many of Fender's most advanced appointments of the time, creating a limited commemorative model that remains highly regarded by players and collectors alike.
Finished in Two Tone Sunburst with a maple neck and fingerboard, this example features exclusive anniversary appointments including gold hardware, an engraved 50th Anniversary pickguard, and the commemorative neck plate. A trio of Fender Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups provide all the clarity, sparkle, and character expected from a Stratocaster while dramatically reducing unwanted hum. Combined with Fender's S-1 switching system, the guitar offers an impressive range of tones well beyond a traditional three single-coil setup.
The American Deluxe platform also introduced a number of premium features designed for professional players, including a modern "C" neck profile, 22 medium jumbo frets, Fender/Schaller locking tuners, a deluxe two-point synchronized tremolo, and a bone nut. Together they create a Stratocaster that feels every bit as familiar as the original while offering the reliability and versatility expected from a modern instrument.
