Selling my 1991 Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gentleman in Wine Red (just like the one on the cover of the Chet Atkins: Me and My Guitars book.
I would wager that this guitar is the best example of this model in the world. It was bought new in 1991 by a man who, sadly, had a debilitating stroke shortly after buying the guitar. It then sat in its case in a cupboard for more than 30 years. I bought it, but have decided that it’s not the guitar for me. Frankly, because of its incredible condition, I’m afraid to use it on gigs. There isn’t even any tarnishing on the gold hardware after 35 years. All the electronics have been checked and it’s been given an amazing set-up. It plays like butter. As I said, you will not find a better example anywhere.
