Very good condition 1959 Gibson J-200 in a very nice Sunburst refinish. No breaks or major repairs to speak on. This guitar really shocked me the first time I played it, and is an excellent example of a late 50’s J-200. Huge, thumpy Gibson tone with some very nice feeling Schaller tuners. The two replacements pickguards on this example are in very good condition, and give this guitar a very cool vibe in comparison to similar models. No cracks or similar damage noticeable anywhere on the guitar. This example is a wonderful fingerstyle guitar, while opening up in a big way when played with a pick. Medium chunky neck feels very nice in the hand, and plays well up the entire neck. There is a faint wear mark to note near the stinger on the neck, but this looks to just be play wear around the first fret. Overall this J-200 is ready to go for the next studio session, live performance, or to make a great addition as a guitar you can just pick up and get a great tone out of whenever. Comes with a very nice and thick newer Gibson hardshell case as pictured. Willing to ship or drive a reasonable distance. Always open to offers!
