OLP MM - 5 String

I bought this bass a little over a year ago as a refurbishing project. I found it on eBay in a well-loved state, no strings, a little rusty. I have been able to remove most of the rust, clean it up and give it a restring and a full setup.

A few notes:

-The fret ends are a little rough, not to the point where it causes discomfort, but I find that fine threads on a cloth get caught when wiping the strings down after a play session.

-Great natural tone, the electrics show their age a little and I'm not 100% what the knobs do exactly. But with a few adjustments you can still get a nice Musicman humbucker tone.

-I accidentally scratched the finish by the 19th fret where I removed a foam sticker. Check the pictures, it is noticeable to the player, but not out of place on an old, naturally worn bass.

-I chose the leave the thumb rest where I found it, as the screws have left holes in the pickguard and stained it somewhat. Be aware if you decide to remove it. I looked into replacing the pickguard but I don't think it's easy to find a matching shape. Better to make your own.

I think this would make a great first 5 string bass for a young player, or a rough 'throwabout' bass for a gigging player. Check the attached video for a thorough sound demo.
