A 1996 Santana I model representing one of the most iconic and historically important signature series guitars in PRS history. Closely associated with Carlos Santana himself, these early Santana models remain highly respected among players and collectors alike.

The elegant PRS double cutaway body combined with the deep Black Cherry finish creates an unmistakably luxurious appearance with strong vintage PRS character.

The guitar features a premium wood combination consisting of a maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck, and highly desirable Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. This combination delivers rich harmonic content, smooth sustain, and exceptional tonal depth.

The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard especially contributes outstanding articulation, density, and response. Clean tones remain rich and dimensional, while overdriven sounds deliver the thick and singing lead voice that Santana-style PRS guitars are known for.

Despite the 24-fret layout, upper fret access remains extremely natural and comfortable, making the guitar especially suitable for expressive lead playing.

The simple control layout of 1Volume, 1Tone, and 2Switches also gives the instrument a highly direct and responsive playing feel.

There is a small area of finish clouding visible on the body, but aside from that the guitar shows remarkably little wear or signs of use. Overall condition is exceptional considering its age and highly attractive even from a collector’s perspective.
