This is a rare and lovely example of a 1964/65 VOX AC-30 from the Jennings Musical Industries era. By this point, the AC-30 had established itself as one of the defining amplifiers of the British music scene, and its distinctive voice remains as relevant today as it was over sixty years ago.

This amplifier is serial number 7944N and features several characteristics associated with early 1960s production, including the copper control panel and brass ventilation grilles. Found on AC-30s from the model's most celebrated early production period, these features are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Alongside the traditional hand wired construction and original specification cabinet appointments, they represent many of the details most closely associated with the rare early JMI built amplifiers that helped establish the AC-30's legendary reputation.

The amplifier features traditional hand-wired construction, four EL84 output valves, valve rectification, and a pair of 12" speakers. Tonally, it delivers everything players expect from a vintage AC-30: clarity, chime, rich harmonic content, and the natural compression that emerges as the amplifier is pushed harder.

Early JMI-built AC-30s have become increasingly sought after by players and collectors alike, and remain one of the most recognisable amplifier designs ever produced.
