2016 Fender Classic Player Jaguar Special HH – Olympic White – Made in Mexico

Up for sale is a great-looking 2016 Fender Classic Player Jaguar Special HH in Olympic White with a red tortoiseshell pickguard. Made in Mexico, this model takes the classic Jaguar offset shape and short-scale feel, but pairs it with a much hotter and more versatile HH pickup setup.

This is not a standard single-coil Jaguar. The dual humbuckers give it a fuller, thicker sound that works beautifully for alternative rock, indie, punk, shoegaze, heavier styles and anything where you want the Jaguar feel without the thinner traditional Jaguar pickup response.

One of the coolest features of this model is the switching system. The lower control plate has individual on/off switches for the neck and bridge pickups, plus a low-cut “strangle” switch for a brighter, tighter sound. The upper horn has a kill switch, allowing you to instantly mute the guitar. The two roller controls are also not standard rhythm-circuit controls like on a vintage Jaguar — on this HH model they act as blendable coil-split controls for the neck and bridge humbuckers, letting you move between full humbucker and more single-coil-style tones.

Cosmetically, the guitar presents very well overall. There are some normal signs of use for its age, including light marks, small surface blemishes and general play wear visible on close inspection, but nothing that affects playability. The Olympic White finish and tort guard combination looks excellent, and the chrome hardware gives it that classic Jaguar look.

Plays comfortably with the familiar short-scale Jaguar feel, but with a more powerful and versatile pickup setup than a traditional Jaguar. A great choice if you want an offset Fender with plenty of tonal options.
