The 1970s Champ is a small 6-watt tube combo, highly regarded for its vintage tone and simplicity. It features a single channel with Volume, Bass, and Treble controls, along with an 8-inch speaker. Using a 12AX7 preamp tube, a 6V6 power tube, and a 5Y3 rectifier tube, it delivers clean tones at lower volumes that gradually turn into crunchy overdrive and natural saturation as the volume is increased. Compact, lightweight, and ideal for home use or recording, it has become a cult classic thanks to its authentic character and beautiful natural breakup.
