Product Details
We've received a shipment of the USA-made "RAT2," a world-renowned distortion pedal from Proco, an effects pedal brand originating in Michigan, USA.
This pedal is one of the most beloved distortion pedals in the world. It became famous in the 1980s when Jeff Beck used an early RAT. Despite its high-gain, rough distortion, its edgy sound has been loved by many guitarists for years.
Surprisingly, it also performs well as a crunch or overdrive pedal with lower distortion settings. It delivers a crisp, pleasant sound, boasting a surprisingly wide range of practicality. Another characteristic of the RAT is that its tone control is a filter. As you turn the knob up, the tone is cut, and at higher settings, you get a muffled, lo-fi sound.
This is an older USA-made model, and the edge and clarity of the sound are slightly different from the current model. The filter has a very wide range of effect, making it easier to express a rougher, more powerful sound or a punchy lead tone.
This is a rare and high-quality USA-made unit, so please take this opportunity to purchase it!
