Diezel Herbert Mk1 — Ruby EL34 Power Tubes — Good Condition, Fully Working
The Diezel Herbert is a 180-watt head with three completely independent channels, each with separate EQs, built from a clean sheet of paper to deliver delicate dynamic shimmer, detailed focused crunch, and aggressive soaring lead tones effortlessly.
This is the Mk1 — the original version, before the Mk2 revised the clean channel and power transformers. The Mk1 is widely considered to have a more organic, player-responsive feel, and commands strong demand among players who know the differences between versions.
Channel 1 is the classic Diezel clean — massive headroom, crystalline sparkle, articulate mids. Channel 2 covers everything from barely-hairy to Sasquatch crunch via a dual voicing switch. Channel 3 starts in high-gain territory with excellent picking sensitivity and note control — percussive, ferocious, and simply brutal.
Currently fitted with Ruby EL34 power tubes. The original Herbert shipped with EL34s and they suit the amp well — tighter and more focused than the KT77 spec of the current version.
Specs:
- 180W, three independent channels
- Preamp: 12AX7, Power amp: EL34 (currently Ruby)
- Per-channel: Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Volume, Mid-Cut switch
- Master: Dual volume, Presence, Deep knob
- Two series effects loops (one switchable), MIDI In/Thru
- Programmable MIDI channel switching
Condition: Good. Some nicks in the tolex consistent with use and transport — cosmetic only. Electronics fully working, no issues. A serious amp that's been gigged.
