For sale a very nice and all original 1962 double cut Gibson Melody Maker D, double pickups. Serial number 73302.
One piece honduran mahogany body.
One piece honduran mahogany neck with Brazilian rosewood slab board. Very comfortable D profile.
Very light instrument : 2,68kg (5lbs 14.5oz) with very good reasonance and sustain.
The 2 single coil pickups sound great !
Controls are 2 volumes / 2 tones and 3 way toggle selector switch.
Very nice condition for its age, except for a big ding on the upper side of the body and a couple of small dents.
Frets are quite low but guitar plays well with no buzz all along the board.
Comes with original cardboard croco case in good condition (except the lid of the pocket is missing / original Gibson logo included).
