I am offering a Taylor 716ce SB from 2015, a crafted in El Cajon, California (USA), premium all solid timber electro-acoustic guitar featuring a Grand Symphony body design with Venetian cutaway, fine-grained Sitka spruce top, back and sides made of dark-grained Indian rosewood, one-piece tropical mahogany neck with 44.5mm TUSQ nut, bound ebony fingerboard with Grained Ivoroid Heritage Diamond inlays, ebony bridge with Micarta saddle and ebony bridge pins, high-quality Taylor nickel machine heads as well as Taylor’s Expression System 2 pickup system in a radiant high-gloss sunburst finish with faux tortoise pickguard in mint condition including brown Taylor hardshell case, manufacturer’s papers and a professional setup with 12-gauge Elixir strings.
This Taylor 716ce SB is a masterfully crafted Grand Symphony model from the legendary 700 Series, manufactured in El Cajon, California, USA. Taylor’s 700 Series combines tonewoods of the highest quality with sophisticated features and first-class craftsmanship to deliver a seamless playing experience with unmatched clarity and balance.
The 2015 Taylor 716ce SB featured here is already wonderfully balanced acoustically: the highs radiate richness and brilliance, and the guitar responds with sensitive dynamics even to a light touch. This is due not only to the voluminous Grand Symphony body but also to the time-honored combination of solid Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce. It produces a versatile tone rich in harmonic texture and resonant overtones, and in combination with the specially forward-shifted X-bracing inside, it delivers fantastic volume and sustain. This makes this Taylor model sonically ideal for everything from strumming and chord playing to lush picking arrangements and delicate fingerstyle techniques, making it an expressive, extremely versatile instrument. The extensive range of timbres and varied tones is immediately captivating from the very first play, and the guitar is simply a joy to play!
A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.
When amplified, the Taylor ES 2 pickup transmits the instrument’s acoustic sound with harmonic balance and natural dynamics.
In terms of playability, a relatively slim mahogany neck with a 44.5mm TUSQ nut ensures fantastic playability, and thanks to the Venetian cutaway, access to the high frets is effortless.
Visually, the guitar impresses with natural elegance: the beautifully grained tonewoods are beautifully highlighted by the thin sunburst high-gloss finish and complement each other aesthetically with the black ebony elements, the Grained Ivoroid Heritage Diamond fretboard inlays, and the faux tortoise pickguard.
