One of the most beautiful guitars from the Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Choice series, this is Collector’s Choice #5, 1959 Les Paul Serial # 9-1923 aka “Donna”, a faithful recreation of the original ‘59 belonging to Tom Wittrock.
Build number 100, this is a super clean example that is light and super resonant when strummed unplugged. The burst is magnificent and I can’t stress enough how light and resonant this particular one is.
I won’t go through all the build specs as they can be found easily online. Uniquely, this CC model is not only recognised as a true reflection of the historic specifications, but the story also goes that the top is so unique on the original, the owner of the original “Donna“, Tom Wittrock, was brought in for final approval of each and everyone one on completion.
This guitar comes with the trifold leather COA, case candy and the original brown Lifton case, in excellent condition.
