The Empire PRO‑1 is a vintage broadcast-series phono cartridge introduced around the late 1970s that followed Empire's tradition of solid American craftsmanship. It features a moving-magnet design similar in principle to the later Empire 2000Z and employs a nude conical stylus, offering rugged dependability and easy tracking - ideal for broadcast or heavy-duty use.

This cartridge and stylus have been used.

This set up has been tested. It is working well and sounds good!

This cart has been set up on a Denon headshell.
