Personal Thoughts:
This is one of the really significant early Collector’s Choice models and still one of the coolest. Being based around the famous Gary Moore / “Greeny” story gives it instant appeal, but the spec is strong even without that. You have the classic late-'50s Les Paul recipe of flame maple over mahogany, a rosewood board, proper '59-style neck carve and BurstBuckers, so it sits right in that sweet spot of vintage feel and familiar Custom Shop usability. The aged Butterscotch finish is a huge part of the charm as well, because it gives the guitar that dry, lightly faded old Burst look that people are always chasing. It is the sort of Les Paul that feels collectible, but still very much like a player’s guitar rather than just a case queen.
Condition Report:
Excellent condition. Factory aged as part of the original Collector's Choice spec, with the wear and ageing intended by Gibson Custom Shop. Overall it presents very well.
