Up for sale, a 2012 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This discontinued USA-made Stratocaster model features an alder body, maple neck and slab rosewood fretboard, delivering a bold, detailed natural acoustic quality that translates well through the 57/62 black bobbin pickup set.
Featuring staggered, beveled alnico pole pieces, black fiber bobbins, and cloth-covered leads, Fender’s 57/62 pickups offer a potent upper midrange detail and bounce in the bridge position, a woody, sweet neck pickup sound and a nice hollow cut at the in-between positions on the three-way switch. This American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 15oz, benefitting from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
