The Well-hung "Snake Charmer" guitar strap is my take on the ol' timey skinny strap with the floatin' shoulder pad style. I wasn't convinced on this style but five years or so ago I started getting requests. Seems folks thought I could tackle this configuration and do it better. Turns out I did, 'cause whenever I make a set of these, they get snapped up real quick. Even I eventually warmed up to the style myself, once I could make a version I felt confident in, that dldn't feel weak and be slipping all over the place.
They look similar to the classic, this one in a python print I call "Graphite Python." Let's highlight a few improvements I've built into these.
1. The skinny strap is reinforced to be strong! It goes THROUGH the pad, not over-top. Cleaner look.
2. Inside the pad, BELOW the skinny strap channel I build in 1" upholstery foam of perfect "sproinginess" approx 2-3/4" wide in a 3" wide pad. These pads sit on you just perfect. Wider, and way, way, WAY more comfortable than most - more surface area, rolled leather edges, a nice gray faux suede, non-slip lining.
3. Because the strap goes through the pad, there's more friction going on. This means you're less likely to suffer the pad moving all up or down the strap where it don't belong making you look like a dork. Who needs that? It stays in place much better and works harder to maintain your "cool guy" image.
4 Lastly, very good hardware - a beautiful Western buckle set, (these are back buckle straps), allowing quick and easy length adjustment, without removing the guitar from your strap. ALSO, paddle ends, slightly wider, reinforced black leather, so you don't have to suffer any of that "sketchy strap" feeling.
Now this is important: These are LONG. They start at minimum adjustment longer than most other straps at MAXIMUM. So, if you need the length, here you go. If you ain't at least six feet tall and hang kind of low, I suggest you be VERY sure before purchasing one of these. For years I got madder and madder at manufacturers who couldn't seem to make a long enough strap. Then, they measure them end-to-end, not pin-to-pin. So, if you are weary of being shorted by strap length, and have a burning need to be the lowest low rider on stage, this is how you get there. There are four of these, and these are the lengths. Please specify when you purchase, and don't complain if it arrives too long for you.
#1. Adjusts 53"-63" #2. Adjusts 58"-68" # 3 Adjusts 59"-69" and #4 Adjusts 60" to 70"
The main body leather is a nice cowhide leather with a snake emboss, and gorgeous python print in grey, white and black. I call it "Graphite." Semi-gloss finish, had just a bit of glint on the "scales" when you move so it catches the light. The skinny straps are 1-1/8" wide, reinforced with thick gray nubuck leather, then sewn with T-90 heavy upholstery thread. There's just something about the feeling of additional freedom skinny straps provide, it's hard to put into words. These are easy to adjust, much like a belt, with a beautiful western buckle set that floats up and down the back. A long lasting sling you'll likely treasure, and people will ask about.
A few last words - There's not a lot of leather in these, but they are fully leather. These western buckle sets are kind of expensive too. Mine may seem priced high compared to others, but I guarantee you will appreciate the extra robustness, comfort and badass cool a little python will add to your guitarin' life.

My 'merican brothers, your shipping cost is now higher. I've struggled for months on how to re-open my store for your market. Only way is add the new US-imposed duty to your shipping, plus a small fee to facilitate my pre-payment of it via the Zonos app. Otherwise, I cannot ship. Here's how it works: I can't ship 'til all duties get pre-paid to your government. I've added the extra cost to USA shipping to cover your duty in advance. It’s the only way I can ship. Once I ship, Reverb pays me back. There's NO extra profit for me here, only a carefully-calculated expense (and quite a bit more back end work!). Your top dude chose tariffs & duty as a sort of import tax, so they’re on you. I've made NO price increases on my goods or shipping for any other market, so fair value remains. My sincere hope is no surprises. Zonos estimates duty costs, so there *may* be small discrepancies, but they assure shippers it’s rare. If your landed cost ends up over $10 US more than what you paid, and you paid FULL asking price (not an offer), please contact me with details and receipts. Please know this duty situation is as frustrating for me as it may be for you and I thank you for understanding. Above all, I just want to make sure your guitars are Well-Hung! Not here to quibble, prices for shipping + tariffs are rounded up or down to the nearest dollar. Questions regarding the new W-H store policy for USA shipping? Message me prior to purchase.
