The ZEQD-Pre is a tube-based preamp built around an EF86 circuit, with an integrated analogue cabinet simulation for quiet practice and direct use. The cab sim can be bypassed via a side-mounted switch, allowing a clean signal to be sent to an external IR loader, modelling software, or alternate signal path. A balanced XLR direct output and dedicated headphone output make it equally suited to recording, silent practice, or backline-free live setups.
A separate Boost footswitch removes the three-band EQ entirely, delivering a full-range boost with its own level control. Switching is handled via mechanical true bypass, and a ground lift is included on the XLR output for flexible integration into different rigs.
