Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer this beautiful Vintage 1978 Norlin era Gibson Les Paul Standard in stunning Factory Natural finish from my personal collection.

Weighing in at 4.7kg (10.4lbs) with a solid 1-piece Mahogany body, 3-piece Maple top and 3-piece Maple neck with slim "C" shape profile, beautiful dark Rosewood fingerboard with stunning figured Mother-of-pearl inlays.

Imported from the USA in March of 2021 for personal use, this lovely thing needed some TLC and whilst it's not 100% original, it was 'for good reason' that some upgrades had to be done to bring this beauty back to life.

Total amount spent on replacement parts = A$1,900.00

The original T-Tops were average, muddy, horrible sounding pickups so they had to go. I took a chance with the replacement set of T-Tops and was pleasantly surprised...these are Exceptional!

Pickup outputs:

Neck: 7.70k

Bridge: 7.84k

This baby also retains its original pots, caps, input jack, wiring, and 3-way switch.

The original Gibson tuners and bridge were no longer functional and the original pickup mounting rings and pickguard were cracked in various places so all had to be replaced.

Original frets with binding nibs, no fret buzz at all, still plenty of life left so playability is superb!

Original Gibson nut, truss rod cover and Rythm/Treble plate are still in place.

Overall a very, very nice vintage Gibson in Excellent condition!

Comes with its original Gibson Hardshell Case, three working latches and lock, one latch broken. NOTE: Original handle missing and has been replaced (crudely) with rope and gaffer tape.

Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with D'Addario 10-46 strings, frets cleaned and polished, fretboard cleaned and lightly oiled, intonation and action set, truss rod tested and works as it should, electronics cleaned, tested and working perfectly, all hardware cleaned and secured.
