This Historic Collection model, manufactured in 2006, reproduces the specifications of the 1950s.
Distinctive features include a large pickguard, crown inlay on the headstock, neck binding, and double parallelogram inlay on the fingerboard.
Apart from a crack in the truss rod cover screw hole, a dent under the bridge on the top, and a slight crack in the left side's waist area, there are no noticeable scratches, dents, or repair history. The soundhole label appears to have never been applied.
The neck condition is fine, with a low string height setting: 2.0mm on the 6th string and 1.8mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret. Consequently, buzzing is more likely to occur on the higher frets beyond the 12th fret.
It delivers the quintessential Gibson sound, combining rich bass with crisp highs, characteristic of the Southern Jumbo and J-45 models.
The original hard case is included.
