My understanding is this pedal, or a similar style pedal, came from the estate of Thom Yorke of RadioHead, who has a vast collection of new and vintage drum machines, and I went down a rabbit hole one time checking out all of his gear.

There may be only 6 rhythms, but the tempo pedal allows you to dial in sweet spots as you play.

If you are looking for something different to help find a new beat, rhythm, or tempo, this will not disappoint. Great sounding and very clear when plugged into an amp or to a speaker.
