Great Fenderl Highway One Jazz bass from 2008 in a lovely nitro midnight wine finish. Sounds superb, looks incredible.
A classic made in the USA workhorse bass that blends vintage style with modern playability. Featuring a poplar body, rosewood neck with a Modern "C" profile and the a badass bass II bridge. Specs below.
The 2008 Fender catalogue outlined the specs as follows:
“The one-and-only Highway One Jazz Bass® guitar features a host of upgrades and new features, including an alder body, modern "C"-shaped maple neck with 20-fret rosewood fingerboard and '70s headstock decal, a BADASS™ Il bridge with grooved saddles, Greasebucket™ tone circuit, three-ply parchment pickguard and a satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that will wear more easily to reflect the journey you take together.”
Has been well played as a touring bass and has a nice road worn patina that gives it character. This makes it all the more playable - sounds and looks as a great Jazz Bass should.
Includes original Fender 60th anniversary bag.
Highway One basses - like this one - get a lot of love from their devotees, especially the Mk2 versions with the improved neck profile, and upgraded Badass Bridge.
Set up to play with some new medium gauge strings, but could of course use a tweak to your preferences. Selling as I’ve acquired a few basses in trades recently and I really only need one!
