Featuring a ’70s-inspired design with an ash body and maple-on-maple neck, this model is equipped with parallel-wired humbucking pickups, the Crews original TBC-1 active EQ, and a Badass-style OMEGA bridge.

It delivers the punchy tone characteristic of PB-style basses, while the parallel humbuckers produce a tight, powerful sound with a hard-edged presence.

The natural resonance already reveals a bright, “glassy” character even unplugged.When amplified, the combination of the maple fingerboard and satin-finished neck adds depth to the low end, resulting in a tone that feels both fast in response and big in sonic image.

The nut width is a slightly narrower 42mm, compared to the standard PB width.It maintains the wide, fat PB feel while providing Crews’ signature low action and easy playability.

From the percussive attack of slap playing to the lingering sustain that follows, this bass offers incredible versatility.The parallel-wired humbuckers produce a Music Man-like tone, while the Crews original TBC-1 preamp enables a broad range of sounds — from funky brightness to aggressive rock tones.

It delivers a heavy low end with crisp presence, yet the midrange remains full and articulate.Snappy slap tones, gritty pick playing — this instrument adapts to any playing style, depending on the player’s touch.

At the core is the TBC-1 preamp, known for its flat and natural response with minimal “active coloration.”Its bass and treble boost/cut ranges are exceptionally musical — boosting adds punch where you need it, and cutting smooths out the tone without loss of character.(A mini switch allows for passive bypass.)
