Stunning condition Custom Shop Martin CS35. This is a next level acoustic. Superb craftsmanship and beautiful rich sound. Comes with Martin hard case with Martin Custom Shop Logo Embroidered.

The Custom Shop CS35-11 is a modern interpretation of the classic Martin D-35. By upgrading to Madagascar rosewood on the back and sides and redesigning the traditional wedge style back, the Custom Shop was able to create a uniquely stunning instrument. The CS35-11 maintains the D-35’s traditional bracing pattern, however, the Sitka top & brace material are upgraded with a Carpathian spruce top and Adirondack braces for increased tonal response. Hide glue and a custom neck profile round out this one year only model (2011).

You are probably already familiar with the Martin D-35 guitar, which by all counts is an amazing guitar, well, Martin decided to take it up a notch with the Custom Shop CS35-11. To begin with they upgraded the Sitka spruce top to Carpathian spruce and the rosewood to Madagascar rosewood. Carpathian spruce is known for having an aged sound that requires less time to “break in”. These two woods combine to create a rich, full, detailed sound. The internal scalloped bracing was even upgraded to Adirondack spruce.

Unique features

Players will love the exclusive neck shape that was hand carved by Aaron VanWhy. Topped with a rosewood fretboard the neck is comfortable and plays easily due to the 16″ radius. In a nod to the guitars of yesteryear, Martin built this guitar using traditional hide glue. The three-piece back has been redesigned with a modern wave feel that is eye catching and cool. The Martin Custom Shop CS35-11 is a stand-out guitar in every way.
