Had a slight headstock splinter which has been repaired/glued, has neck shim to improve playability, original vibrato has been replaced with identical replica, bridge was replaced with replica.
This guitar from the British company John Hornby Skewes (JHS) using their inhouse brand Encore was produced for JHS by Teisco in Japan most likely in the 70's. This is a very rare vintage guitar which is overall in pretty good condition aesthetically, it has been made playable but bear in mind the usual quirks with these old Japanese guitars, not the best tuners and the vintage pickups are microphonic which is a matter of personal taste.
The scale length is 24.75 " so it's quite jangly and easy to play, it has been setup as best it can, the fixed bridge makes it almost impossible to intonate and it is slightly sharp across all strings at the 12th fret. It is common on these types of guitars for the bridge to be floating but this one is screwed down. It would be easy enough to remove the bridge screws holding it down and then move/adjust the bridge for better intonation as you would with other Teisco guitars from this era.
Any questions please ask, will be packaged carefully and sent by courier. I have 1000k + positive reviews on Ebay.
