Modern recording uses three dynamic control techniques which may detract from the original dynamic range; reduction of transient peaks, overall compression of loud levels and upward manipulation of soft levels.
Today's records and tapes offer remarkable improvements in dynamic range and other high fidelity essentials. But if your playback equipment isn't quite up to date, those improvements are likely to pass you right by.
Pioneer's new RG-1 is your answer - a stereo equipment up-dater which not only lets you take full advantage of the expanded dynamic range of any new record, tape or FM high fidelity source program, but gives you the unique advantage of a noise reduction effect at the same time.
Tape hiss, record-surface scratch noise, record warp, and other unnatural and unwanted noises are electronically scrubbed out with no adverse effects on musical content.
And with the Dynamic Expansion Selector switch on the RG-1 in operation, the attack and release times of each individual musical note and harmonic are automatically re-controlled to result in clean, balanced and much more dynamic reproduction throughout the entire musical spectrum.
Large twin level meters on the front panel let you keep a close watch on the amazing effects of this essential high fidelity component.
And its simplified controls - with only one stereo set of input and output terminals - mean you can quickly and easily apply the Pioneer RG-1 to a number of specialized jobs for better high-fidelity performance from any stereo equipment set-up for listening.
