Vintage Style Speaker System Selector SEL614

This is a 1U size speaker selector with rubber feet for switching between 6 amps and 4 speakers, with a send-return for attenuators while providing amp protection with dummy load.

This completely handmade speaker system selector switches between multiple guitar amp heads and speaker cabinets, achieved in collaboration with Vinetone, a private builder brand highly regarded for its sound quality-oriented attenuators.

On the rear panel, there is an INPUT jack that can connect up to six guitar amps and SPEAKER OUT jacks that outputs to four speaker cabinets.

The impedance of each amplifier must be set to be the composite impedance of the SP used, but output to multiple speakers is possible as long as the impedances are matched.

In addition, all amplifiers are dummy-load terminated except those selected not to operate with no load for amplifier protection, and a dedicated attenuator SEND/RETURN terminal with an ON/OFF switch on the front panel is provided, allowing the amplifier to be used not only as a normal attenuator but also as a built-in. Although impedance matching is required, a single attenuator can be used with multiple amp heads via the speaker system selector.

The 200mm deep chassis was selected to match the size of the Marshall head that serves as the reference amp, so it is finished in a size that allows the front of the amp to be aligned when placed on top of the amp. The power supply cable is made of TRUETONE 1SPOT and has a length of 3m, which is equivalent to the length of ordinary amplifier power cables, ensuring sufficient length when supplying power from the feet even when installed on top of an amplifier head.

This is the first speaker system for guitar amplifiers that can be used to build a system including an attenuator, eliminating the need to change connections on the back of the amplifier/speaker cabinet after installing multiple amplifiers and speaker cabinets, which requires a lot of space and labor. This is a stand-alone 1U speaker system selector.
