This is an overbuy from the recent ZZ Top / Dusty Hill Family Auction in Dallas. This is one of the nicest basses I've ever played and pretty much says 'ZZ Top' just by appearance. It's got every professional appointment including a bound body (back & front,) neck and headstock. It's got a Civil Defense monikered truss rod cover. It has a red front and a yellow back and sides with fat dot inlays on the neck. The body and headstock shapes are obviously insane and smart for playing. The instrument is missing a PU and some electronics. The jack is on the instrument. Incredible tuners and bridge. The neck is perfection. It really seems like a company trying to woo the most famous bass player in the world to their brand and making the perfect bass. Outside of the missing parts, the instrument is as minty as you can find. Absolutely giant hard shell case that seems original to the instrument. It's comes with bonafide auction provenance and the instrument is custom made with no serial number. Look over carefully and ask a lot of questions. No returns.
