Note: Be sure to check out the video for a more detailed description and to hear this guitar in action!

This Howie Griffin Series comes with a backpack style gig bag. It has a 24-fret fingerboard with a 25-inch scale length. The Ebony fretboard has a compound radius of 15.45 inches at the tail down to 9.55 inches at the nut.

The Shape of the neck is what we call the Howie Thin Line. At the nut the depth is 0.91 inches and at the 12th fret it is 0.93 inches. It’s not super thin like the 1960s Gibson ES 330s but it’s close. It has a very fast and easy feel. The width at the nut is 1.67 inches, and at the tail it is 2.16 inches making it a fairly thin span higher up on the fretboard.

The pickups on this guitar are Seymour Duncan’s 59 Neck Humbucker and Custom 5 Bridge Humbucker. The 59 pups model the 1950s vintage PAF sound but with a little bit clearer high end. The Custom 5 is basically just a 59-style pup but much hotter. This makes the two pair together really well. Each pickup can be split into a single coil with individual switches for each pup. Finally, the tone pot for this guitar is a KingTone switch. This innovative switch gives you 6 distinct different tones in each position. All of this makes for an incredibly versatile guitar with countless tone options.

The finish on this guitar was done with a catalyzed urethane that is normally used on automobiles. This high-end urethane dries very hard allowing fewer coats and a thinner finish.

As usual with all our guitars, this guitar was built by me, the sole builder, from start to finish. It was also built mainly by hand with a little help from our small CNC machine for things like the inlays and the Fibonacci violin carve on the top.
