FENDER 68 CUSTOM PRINCETON REVERB

1968 was a year of transition for Fender amplifiers, with a still typically Fender tone, but an absolutely new design. With a silver and turquoise front panel and a sleek grid-cloth finish known as “drip edge” (due to the aluminum profile between the panel and the front grille), the Princeton Reverb has undergone a complete design revamp, while remaining the ideal amplifier for recording and concerts. Small, light and of medium power, it produced an energetic tube tone, with unparalleled Fender reverb and vibrato effects. Since then, the Princeton Reverb has been the reference amplifier for classic Fender sound, adopted by many guitarists.

The '68 Custom Princeton Reverb amplifier is a tribute to the classic design, sound and performance of silver panel amplifiers of the late '60s. With a special modification, a modified tone circuit gives modern players greater tonal flexibility with the pedals, and the reduction of negative feedback gives greater touch sensitivity and a faster overdrive attack. The 10” Celestion® TEN 30 cone on the '68 Custom Princeton Reverb also gives it a more distinctly rock'n'roll feel.
