Up for sale is a vintage 1970 Yamaha SB-55 Bass Guitar in Natural.

This is a great playing Yamaha SB-55 that was made in Japan in 1970. It's an early version of Yamaha's "Super Bass", its absolutely unique and weird design, which roots laying in canonical Jazz Bass' style. The neck is a standard J-bass type with plenty of access to higher frets. The pickups are hot and sound awesome, tone-wise they sound somewhere between P- and J- bass: beefy, punchy tone with brightness and clarity.
The SB-55s (and 75s) was popular among the jazz and rock scene in early-to-mid 70s. For instance, Michael Henderson (Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye) played on one of these and even used it on a various recordings back in the day.

Recently setup in house so it plays, feels and sounds awesome!

Case: Comes with the a gig bag.
Condition: Very good for its age with signs of cosmetic wear like scratches and dings.
Amount of Fretwear: N/A - recently given a full re-fret.
