"AV Basses is a high-end Czech brand that received a great deal of attention for its new use by Jamiroquai bassist Paul Turner.
The brand was started in the 1990s by professional bassist Ales Vychodil.
At that time, major instrument makers supplied many basses to the market, but none of them could meet his demands.
In order to satisfy his needs, he started making his own custom basses.
In the 2000s, he started OEM production for boutique brands in Europe and the United States, making his manufacturing skills known to the world.
We met him at Guitar Summit in Germany in 2019 and were amazed at the high level of perfection and ordered one immediately.
This is the second time we have ordered from him, and again, he delivered excellent basses.
We ordered this bass based on the specifications of the AV BASSES used by the master bassist Paul Turner.
The body is European Alder, the fingerboard is Indian rosewood, and Nordstrand NP5+NP5 pickups are used.
Controls are quite simple: 2 Volume 2 Tone.
The low B, E, A, D, and G strings all have a smooth sound that extends smoothly.
The rich mid-range is the foundation of the sound, which is as generous as the ocean and reassuringly supports the musician's performance.
This is a young instrument that has only just been built, so it will show a different side as you play it more and more.
The case comes with a MONO sleeve case.
Comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
