This kit is a 13x9, 16x16, 22x14 solid segmented shell kit made from leopardwood, curly maple and wenge.

All three of these exotic woods are top notch choices for instrument building by themselves, but we've combined them to make something truly extraordinary.

The kit features a high gloss natural lacquer, our signature single point lugs, heavy duty bass drum spurs, 2.3mm triple flange hoops, heavy .5" thick floor tom legs, vintage style bass drum hoop claws with T-handle tuning rods, maple bass drum hoops With satin black lacquer, die-cast air vents on all drums, and top notch Evans heads including an Emad2 bass drum batter, calftone bass drum reso, Ec2 tom batters and Ec tom resos. Nothing but the best.

The shell construction on this kit is segmented. This means each shell is made from hundreds of individually hand cut blocks of wood that get glued together similar to a circular brick wall. This construction method is incredibly difficult to master, and incredibly time consuming.

However, the extra work is worth it. It makes for a drum that is musical, strong, and visually stunning.

This kit is the zenith of our capabilities as drum builders. We hope we can make one for you. It'll be the last kit you'll ever need.

As with all of our drums and listings shown, when you place an order with HHG Drums, your new instrument will be hand-crafted in house, from scratch. The drum shown in the pictures was built for a customer, and now resides with them.  The approximate lead time after ordering is 12 weeks on this kit.
