This is one hell of a turntable -- actually, one hell of an engineering marvel -- and I would 100% hold onto it if I hadn't sold off my entire vinyl collection 15 years ago.

The Technics SL-15 allows the choice of any track in any order via a numbered array of buttons. Simply press the program keys in the order you want the tracks played. The tonearm of the SL15 will first move across to the innermost grooves of the record so the optical sensor can read and memorize the number of bands and their positions. Turntable speed is chosen automatically according to optoelectronic detection of record size. There is, therefore, no need to manually choose turntable speed or record size.

Here's the bottom line:
I just uncovered this turntable tucked away in storage along with a whole cache of other stereo electronics that belonged to my late father. I'd like to quickly divest myself of his vintage stereo gear as I don't have the time nor patience to begin hunting down correct knobs or opening up cases and going into the electronics restoration business.

So my lack of interest is your gain.

But I don't think this turntable needs anything but a quick, internal cleaning and lubing by someone in the know. Right now, everything on it WORKS PERFECTLY. You can program the songs on an LP in any order you'd like to hear them. And there's no manual dropping of the needle which always creates divots and, therefore, pops on the record. Right now the needle comes down perfectly at the beginning of a song but the arm doesn't pick up quickly enough and sometimes runs into the first few grooves of the next song. For all I know, there's an easy way to make that adjustment. As I said, this was never my turntable so I'm not conversant with it's ins & outs.

NOTE: While this SL-15 is in excellent shape, there are some surface scratches to the plexiglass plus a scratch near the top of the unit on the silver frame. Both are displayed in the photos. Also note that the shipping charge is NOT $100,000 -- I just can't figure out how to make it read: "Shipping Price Based on Location."
