Cable Tester is a device for testing all kinds of cables used in eurorack modular systems. Cable Tester uses an automatic switching circuit that switches voltage between wires in your cables. You can check your cables equipped with 16 and 10 pins and 3.5mm Jack patch cables. Cable testing is simple. Just insert your cable you want to test into one of the connector sockets. Turn on power. Red and yellow LEDs light up and blink. Each LED represents one wire in your cable. If some LED isn’t emitting light, it is broken. If LED light does not match with the wire number, your cable is badly made. If all LEDs emit light, there is a short present. You can pause blinking with a push button. Cable Tester can be powered either from a 9V battery, from an external Power brick 6 – 25V with center-positive barrel connector, and also from any eurorack PSU via your 10 wire power cable (standard module connection).
