Erica Synths LXR-02 Open-Source Desktop Digital Drum Synthesizer

Developed jointly by Sonic Potions and Erica Synths, the LXR-02 is a compact digital drum synthesiser and performance sequencer with six fully editable drum voices. Its open-source architecture allows further exploration and customisation, with supporting software available via .

Each voice provides more than 30 adjustable parameters, supporting a broad range of sounds from classic analogue-style drums to aggressive digital percussion and experimental textures. Dedicated voice volume sliders and an insert effects section provide immediate hands-on control.

The flexible 64-step sequencer is designed for performance, with memory for Kits, Patterns, Performances and Songs. Performance Mode provides mutes, rolls, master bitcrushing and kit morphing for dynamic pattern variation in real time.

Housed in a durable aluminium enclosure, the LXR-02 offers flexible audio routing, full-size MIDI connectivity, USB MIDI, headphone output and SD card support for firmware updates and project backup.
