Up for sale is my Brach Tamburitza. It is the type with a guitar-shaped body and 5 strings.
This is a remarkably good-sounding instrument, and needs a good home.
I got it from a friend who had played it for 20 years or more. One of the tuning machines is too finicky for me to deal with. I am sure that it can be repaired, but it is beyond my skill level.
The neck is an unknown hardwood. The fingerboard is some variety of Rosewood. The back and sides also appear to be some sort of Rosewood. The top is Spruce, and the pickguards are inlaid pieces of Rosewood.
The frets have a good amount of wear, but still play very well. The action is nice and low, and it is really a blast to play.
As you can see from the photos, it has been played a lot over its lifetime. There are lots of dings and scrapes, crazing and wear, but it’s got many more years of life in it.
It comes with the chipboard case in which I received it.
The instrument comes with a 48-hour approval period. If, within the 48-hour period, you decide that it is not for you, simply return it to me in the same condition as I sent it out, with full insurance, and I will refund your purchase price, minus shipping to you. Buyer pays return shipping.
TERMS, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Buyer pays selling price plus shipping and insurance. I typically ship with USPS or FedEx, though other arrangements can be made at the buyer's request. No fee is charged for packing or handling. I will gladly ship anywhere in the world, but beware, international shipping charges can be steep, and the buyer is responsible for all duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage and storage fees on their end. Please contact me with any questions.
