A 1958 Vintage, Super Rare, Supro 33 Special Belmont Shortscale Guitar with a Super Hot Supro Single Coil Pickup and original everything including the Original Soft Shell Case!
It is dated to 1958 by the National Metal serial number on the back of the Headstock. Its dated 1958 even though the 33 Special didn't show in the catalogs until 1959! What a cool guitar!
Awesome Gold finish that has a raised grain in it. No dings or scratches to report but there is some markings of some sort on the back. I couldn't remove them and they are not obnoxious but you can see them in the bright light. See pic 11.
This neck pickup is a killer…single coil Valco made Supro pickup..if you haven’t heard one of these..expect to be impressed…It also has the awesome original Gold Single Line Kluson tuners . The tuner buttons are still pretty good. They are known to flake off after a time. These were stable enough that I left them alone. Just know some day they will have to be replaced.
The guitar is Very Light!! Only 5 lbs..... It has a 22 inch short scale neck with 20 frets which makes it super easy to play....The nut measures 1 5/8 inches wide... Very unique!! ...
This guitar is all original. Neck, body, Pickup, Raised Pickguard, and Gold tailpiece. This one also has the original Gold Kluson Deluxe Single Line Tuners. All ORIGINAL!!!
Ever hear these Supro Pickups??...You are in for a treat...Very Hot and bright which made them very nice for early 60's Rock, but crank it up and it is a Blues Monster that cannot be ignored on stage...yes, its that good!!...The neck action is as good as it gets..Our tech did a great job setting this guitar up...it has easy playing low low action...It is a pleasure to play........
Check out the original Supro Black and White Soft Shell Case. As nice as the guitar. All latches, hinges and original handle are still present and working properly. A great case for this great guitar!

this guitar is cool but used and vintage so its sold as-is no returns..However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for close to 20 years now and they all love the guitars I find them.. this cool Supro will certainly not be an exception...
