Nifty little stylus analog synth from Japan - a few tricks for getting more out of it - run it through a mixer as there's no volume knob on the unit, and it's definitely helpful to control the volume! Also, since the pitch is controlled via stylus, a fun way to make it more musical is to run it through a pitch perfect vocal app on an ipad or a vocoder - this is a great tiny synth for making unusual noises, but with a vocal processing app you can also get some different sounding melodies out of it. Experimentation is key with the Gakken SX150 mark 2!

The unit itself is small and plastic, and feels very "cheap" but it is possible to get really interesting sounds out of it as is is an analog synth! Play around with different fx pedals, or if you're braver than I am, you can circuit bend it, or add cv control. The SX150 runs off batteries, which is always a plus in my book.

It comes with the original box from my smoke-free studio - free shipping!
