This is a 1937 Conn Connqueror 48A Bb cornet in very good original condition. This model with the iconic rimless bell is more commonly known as the Vocabell model. The 48A Vocabell is shown to have been produced from 1938 to 1951, but as with other models of this era, some examples have been found to be a year early than the production records indicate, so this is one of the first 48A cornets made.
The trumpet has been cleaned and all slides operating smoothly. Has some small scratches in various locations but the original silver plating is in overall excellent condition as shown in the photos.
Engraving is sharp and clear, especially the Pan engraving on the bell flare. Also has a gold wash bell.
Valves have very good compression.
Comes with a non-original hard case.
Overall, this is one of the best preserved early Vocabell models we've ever had in our inventory.
