Ludwig Supraphonic 14x5 Chrome Over Brass Snare Drum – B-Stock The Ludwig Supraphonic Chrome Over Brass Snare Drum represents a faithful reissue of the legendary 1959–61 Brass 400 model, a studio and stage staple sought by professionals and collectors alike. Built with a 1.2mm thick, seamless brass shell finished in chrome plating, this 14x5 snare delivers the warm, focused crack and resonance that made the original Supraphonic an industry standard. The classic configuration includes 10 Imperial lugs, triple-flanged hoops, and a P88AC throw-off mechanism for reliable on-the-fly adjustments. This B-Stock unit meets Ludwig's structural and functional standards—shells are perfectly round, strainers engage cleanly, and tension rods thread straight—but carries minor cosmetic blemishes from factory or demo use. These may include light plating inconsistencies, scuffs, or handling marks. Drums are sold as-is with cosmetic imperfections excluded from warranty coverage. Ideal for players prioritizing tone and performance over showroom appearance. Key Features
